The Screening
We had the KS2 screening in the hall followed by the Bloopers and the Q & A. It all went very well and the children asked some interesting questions about how and why there were 2 Claras (Ellens). There was also some discussion about filming a film within a film and they did a good job of explaining how in film you can suggest and imply things rather than show and tell the story literally. Some children now want to join the club next year.

The Clip Club 
As always Team STE does it again! Loved(actually a bit scared!) the film, great to see the original Film Crew from Year 3 and Year 4 still giving it large and playing such a key role!
What clever filmmaking! Very impressive choices made when it came to shots, music and sound effects. I feel we may have some future screenwriters, producers, directors, camera crew and actors at work here
Well thank you! I was behind the camera, but sometimes, that is the most fun part! I was also on the editing team for the film (I claim the cross-fade at the beginning) with 3 other people.

Hello Clip Club. I love your film! Here’s what I like about it:
You know how to create ‘jeopardy’. Jeopardy is when you create tension by putting someone in danger, and then make the audience anxious because time is running out. Using the battery life on the computer is an inspired way of doing this.
You know how to do ‘parallel editing’. This is when films show two things happening simultaneously, by ‘cross-cutting’, or editing between them. We think it’s obvious, but it’s actually very hard – it was invented by a man called Edwin S. Porter in 1903 – in a film called The Great Train Robbery. You do it better than he did!
And you know how to do the Zombie walk!
